Filleting and yarn making

The garments used  belong to each collaborator. The items of clothing are no longer useful, though hold memory and significance. Items may also come from others and hold some specific connection and meaning.

Filleting liberates the fabric of the garment from its seams. The fabric of identity becomes deterritorialised and what remains is a map of the former territory. The map represents an inherited, taught and socialized identity. An identity which comes from spaces of categories and labels; metric spaces.
Yarn making works directly with the materiality of the fabric; its tendencies and capacities. fabrics are cut in different ways as to work with these properties producing a continuous thread.
